What the app is

BG Remover is an Android application that separates the subject of a photo from its background, lets you replace that background, refine the edge, add layers and export the result. All processing happens on your device.

Your licence

You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you control, for personal or commercial image editing. You may not resell, sublicense, rent or redistribute the app itself.

You may not reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to circumvent the app’s paid features, its licence checks or its advertising, except where that restriction is void under the law that applies to you.

Your photos stay yours

We claim no ownership of and no licence over the images you edit. They are processed on your device and never transmitted to us.

You are responsible for having the right to use the photos you edit, and for what you do with the result. You must not use the app to create material that is unlawful, that infringes someone else’s rights, or that misrepresents a person in a way that would deceive or harm them.

ID photos are not certified

The ID photo mode helps you frame and size a portrait using automatic face detection. It is a starting point, not a conformity check: head height is derived from the detected face, not officially measured, and requirements differ by country and document. We do not guarantee that an output will be accepted by any authority, and it is your responsibility to check the rules that apply to your document before submitting a photo.

Purchases and subscriptions

Pro is sold through Google Play. The price, the currency, any free trial and the available plans are set in Google Play for your country and shown in the app before you confirm.

• Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in Google Play.
• Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• A lifetime purchase, where offered, is a one-time payment with no renewal.
• Refunds are handled by Google Play under its own policy.

Pro is tied to the Google account that bought it and can be restored on another device by signing in with that account and using Restore in the app.

Ads and rewarded unlocks

The free version shows ads. Some Pro features can also be unlocked temporarily by watching a rewarded ad; that unlock covers only the feature the app names before the ad plays, and only for the period stated. It grants no other entitlement, and it expires on its own.

Availability and changes

The app is provided as it is at the time you install it. Features may be added, changed or removed in later versions, and a feature may depend on services provided by Google that are outside our control — in particular the on-device segmentation model, which requires an up-to-date Google Play services.

No warranty

To the fullest extent the law allows, the app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that a cutout will be accurate on any given photo, that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will be fit for a particular purpose. Nothing here limits the statutory rights you have as a consumer.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profit or opportunity, or for the loss of images or projects stored on your device. Keep your own copies of anything that matters. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including for death, personal injury or fraud.

Termination

You can end this agreement at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or end your licence if you breach these terms, in particular by attempting to circumvent paid features or by using the app unlawfully.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Côte d'Ivoire, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live.
